I am humbled by my ignorance. It’s a funny story that I had done everything in the video to prove to myself that they worked before installation wondering “what’s going on here?” and concluding the transformer was broken.

The transformer fit correctly without any issues. On installation the output was similar to last transformer. Over the past 10 days or so it seems like the lumen output from the 12V lamps has greatly diminished. I removed one of the bulbs to see if there might be an overload but it made no difference. I need to check the input voltage to see if this is the problem although I find it strange that it works great at first.
